CDP, the independent non-profit organization of reference for environmental reporting, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, has awarded for the second consecutive year, Fincantieri received a rating of A- for the activities carried out in the last year. The Group thus confirms itself in the highest range of merit (on an evaluation scale from D, minimum, to A, maximum), strengthening its leadership also in the fight against climate change.

The result acknowledges Fincantieri's efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions and manage climate risk. These objectives were also achieved thanks to the intensification of the policy green in the procurement of electricity from renewable sources (hydroelectric, wind, photovoltaic) certified with a guarantee of origin, which brought the share of electricity of this type used by the entire Group to 84%.

CDP collects information on a voluntary basis, through a complex evaluation process of the performance and the strategy of listed companies. This year it assessed over 13.000 companies worldwide for commitment and transparency in tackling climate change.

CDP's classification therefore represents a globally recognized competitive advantage. It is, in fact, a useful tool for anticipating changes at the political and regulatory level, identifying and addressing growing risks of one's business and finding new opportunities for action. Over 590 large investors, with asset totals exceeding $ 110 trillion, have already required companies to inform the market through CDP about their sustainability.

Fincantieri has also confirmed in the "Advanced" range, the highest, also in the VE ranking, formerly Vigeo Eiris, an agency that evaluates the integration of social, environmental and environmental factors in the context of sustainability governance, ranking first in its reference basket.
