The Board of Directors of FINCANTIERI SpA (“Fincantieri” or the “Company”), meeting under the chairmanship of Giampiero Massolo, examined and approved the interim financial information as at 30 September 2021.
On the sidelines of the Board meeting, Giuseppe Bono, Chief Executive Officer of Fincantieri, commented: “The growth of the Group continues, guaranteed by the existing workload, the result of our policy of keeping orders even in the period of crisis induced by the pandemic. We have achieved one of the highest margins in the sector which, like volumes, we aim to further increase, also thanks to the huge investments we are making in all our sites. Our planning and organizational skills are among the best in the world and our shipyards are at the forefront in terms of construction skills and the high levels of quality achieved. This comes mainly from the sense of belonging that all our employees have acquired. We are prepared to face the years to come with moderate optimism, also by virtue of the massive entry of young people, which occurred in recent times, capable of quickly internalizing the corporate culture and the skills necessary to develop the job. "
Bono then concluded: “In the collective imagination, the ship is a vision, building it requires professionalism that must be continually implemented, but a great passion is also needed. I therefore feel the duty to thank all the staff of Fincantieri and our network of suppliers who allow us to maintain the world leadership acquired, making a commitment already aimed at planning the actions that must be programmed to guarantee us a sustainable and growth future. I am sure that in this task, as always, we will be able to count on our shareholders and on the numerous companies that collaborate with us in a widely tested organizational system. "
