F-35A AL-1: first engine ignition at Cameri FACO

On June 2, the Italian F-35A AL-1, the first F-35 assembled outside the United States, successfully completed the first ignition of the engine. The representatives of all the partner companies involved were present at the FACO (Final Assembly and Check Out - Final assembly and testing) in Cameri for this important step.

P&W pointed out that this is engine # 100.

The AL-1 aircraft is proceeding according to plans for its delivery within the year.

Currently other 5 airplanes are being produced in Cameri.
