(To Greater Defense)
03/12/15

Upon delivery of the first fully assembled F35 aircraft in Italy, military and industrial exponents from various countries took part, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, Turkey, Australia, Germany and Norway.

The ceremony confirmed the importance of the Cameri plant -  Final Assembly and Check Out (FACO) - as an industrial center of a high-tech manufacturing sector.

The Cameri plant was conceived from the outset to house both the production (FACO) and maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade (MRO & U-Maintenance Repair Overhaul & Upgrade) activities of the JSF aircraft. In December 2014, Italy was chosen to be the maintenance hub for aircraft deployed in Europe both for those purchased from European countries and for the US operating in Europe.

The aircraft, technologically advanced, is an 5 ^ generation aircraft, it will allow to reduce the lines of the airplanes currently in service and, due to characteristics and systems supplied, it will be a multiplier of the national intelligence capacity. The chief of staff of the Air Force General Pasquale Preziosa was present at the delivery event.
