Alenia Aermacchi, a Finmeccanica company, has signed a contract with the Polish Ministry of Defense for the supply of eight M-346 Master advanced training aircraft.

The contract - the signature of which follows the announcement concerning the selection of the aircraft - has a value of approximately 280 million.

The supply includes, in addition to the eight aircraft, the logistic support, the training for pilots and technicians as well as a ground training system that also includes the creation of dedicated classrooms and teaching aids.

After Italy, Singapore and Israel, Poland is the fourth customer of the M-346, considered the most advanced training aircraft available on the market today and the only one in the world designed specifically to train pilots destined for high-performance military aircraft of last generation.

With the Polish order the number of M-346 ordered to date goes up to 56 specimens. The Italian aircraft was awarded the contract at the end of a tender in which the main international competitors participated.
