Aleppo is a fiery ball. At almost 40 ° of temperature we enter the decisive phase of what we have indicated for months as the most important piece of the entire mosaic of war. Many factors allow us to imagine an imminent decisive turning point. As often happens in Syria, however, the situation evolves from hour to hour, with constantly fluid scenarios.

Hundreds of families have already been evacuated from the eastern part of the city, still in the hands of Islamist militias now surrounded by government forces and YPG Kurds.

While the positions of the Syrian Armed Forces consolidate in the west, militiamen of theArmy of Conquest (Jaish al-Fatah) attempt sortie north to Castle Road, to break the siege to which all fundamentalist factions have been subjected for a few days. Very heavy artillery exchanges with the Syrian army are underway in these hours. The desperate jihadist pressure would also be underway in the southern districts of Aleppo, where the Republican Guard and 4 unitsa Syrian mechanized division had advanced rapidly last week.

The fundamentalists of Jaish Al-Fatah, operating mainly in the area of Aleppo and Latakia, were established at the beginning of the 2015 thanks to aid from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, heavily involved through the MIT, the national services. Despite internal divisions and controversial relations with Al Nusra, branch of Al Qaeda, part of the galaxy of jihadist groups supported by Ankara, theArmy of Conquest he would still be able to make it difficult for government officials to clean up the northwestern provinces, the Government of Idlib in particular.

The attempt to get out of the Aleppo trap would be opposed by the joint effort of the Syrian and Russian air forces, massively folded in these hours on the front of the second Syrian city.

Meanwhile, large quantities of American-made weapons have been seized in the Bani Zaid district, including many TOW anti-tank launchers. The weapons would have been abandoned by fundamentalist militants on the run, just before the arrival of loyalist forces.

In the next few hours the situation on the Aleppo front will be clearer, waiting for Turkey's political positions regarding the Syrian crisis to evolve clearly.
