Massacre of Christians in Lebanon

At the dawn of yesterday, terrorist attacks killed 15 Christians in Lebanon. The affected city is Kaa (Qaa), a Christian stronghold, very close to the border with Syria.

This is a serious attack in a complex scenario, as around the city there are Syrian refugee camps, there is talk of 30 thousand people, practically left almost in disarray and many are convinced that there are ISIS terrorists among them.

The city concerned is located in the Bekaa Valley. The valley is in the hands of the Shiites, therefore under the control of Hezbollah. It is a border area heavily subject to fighting between the ISIS pockets of resistance (present in Syria) and the Lebanese regular army. There are three cities in that area; two Christians (Kaa and Raas Baalbek) and a Sunni (Aarsal), but all the territory that extends from the Orontes river to the border with Syria, the Bekaa Valley, is in the hands of the Shiites.

Christian cities are not armed and this makes them suitable for terrorist attacks. Currently in Lebanon there are ongoing maneuvers that tend to shift the attention within it and disengage forces abroad, such as Hezbollah's Iraq and Syria.
