A group of Talibans with suicide bombers on board two Humvees attacked a base of Afghan troops in the southern province of Kandahar killing 43 men and wounding 9.
This is the third attack in a short period of time: two days ago a Taliban armed with machine gun, accompanied by one shahid (martyr) caused 41 to die in an Afghan police training center in Gardez.
According to Ahmad Mukhtar's Defense Minister's report, the Taliban hit the military infrastructure during the night, while the 60 detachment soldiers were sleeping.
Recent events confirm a dangerous escalation of attacks in particular against police forces and Afghan civilians.
Interior Minister Murad Ali Murad called today's attack the worst year round.
