The Libyan general Khalifa Haftar, head of the Armed Forces who refer to the government of Tobruk, the one regularly elected and which does not recognize the government of Tripoli, is now in Moscow for an official visit together with a delegation of senior officers.

The visit would serve to lay the foundations for a possible Moscow aid to fight the Islamist militias that are still raging in Benghazi.

The general would therefore be willing to present the transaction Karama ("Dignity") at the top of Muscovites. If the Russian government were to grant its help, the fate of the conflict would take an unexpected and interesting turn both from a geopolitical and a military point of view, also considering that Haftar has just been in Cairo to illustrate the Libyan situation.

Libyan sources of Online Defense confirm that the general will later go to the US.
