It is the seventh missile test by North Korea that took place yesterday, which saw an intermediate-range ballistic missile (Hwasong-12) launched towards the Sea of Japan and reached an altitude of 2000 kilometers before re-entering and sinking.

While South Korea claims to to be observing and to remain in an attitude of readiness, the US condemns yet another action by the North.

Despite this, on May 30th the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will be called to the global forum in Geneva for nuclear disarmament. North Korean Ambassador Han Tae Song will have to help in relations with the rest of the world; we are talking about a state that since 2006 has been condemned by the UN nine times for unauthorized nuclear and missile activities.

La Conference on Disarmament it was created in 1979 and chaired by 65 states, the treaties on nuclear non-proliferation of 1968 and the total ban on nuclear tests of 1996 were negotiated at that time.

"How to put a serial rapist in charge of a women's shelter" says Hillel Neuer, director of UN Watch, a non-governmental organization that has the task of monitoring the activity of the UN. Precisely because of this, UN Watch invited António Guterres, along with ambassadors from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union and other democratic states, to desert the meeting during the Korean presence.

Meanwhile, relations between Korea and the US heat up more and more after Kim's repeated showdowns with his unauthorized ballistic throws and the US threatens important sanctions, but China makes known its opposition to unilateral sanctions on the basis national standards of other countries. It is the same foreign spokesman Wang Wenbin who criticizes the US action against five North Korean officials, because according to him it will only serve to exacerbate relations and calls for greater caution on both sides.

What is certain is that Korea does not seem to have any intention of mediating with the US and indeed increases the dose with new missile launches in the Sea of Japan; it seems that Kim wants to draw the attention of the US to himself. Perhaps for a resumption of talks on nuclear disarmament? In exchange, obviously, to lighten the sanctions imposed that weigh heavily on the pockets of the government, already bent by the disaster of the pandemic ...

The response from the USA was not long in making itself heard and they let it be known that the missile launches "They violate multiple resolutions of the UN Security Council".
