France, Europe, World ... as between the two Wars!

This morning the French woke up with the soothing words of their president: "The moment we are experiencing resembles that between the two Wars"referring to the world wars of the last century.
The statements of the French president, appeared in an interview published on Ouest France, the most widely read newspaper in France (considered to be centrally located), the most widely read in the world in the Francophone community, evoke ghosts that are still part of the collective unconscious, but for what purpose?
The phrase effectively sums up the political situation in Europe, especially if you read the rest of your statement: "Europe faces a risk: that of being dismembered by nationalisms and ending up under the influence of external powers ..."and therefore insists on the similarity between the Europe of our day and that of the years' 30, in both cases Europe was divided by fear, by the resumption of nationalisms, by the consequences of the economic crisis For president Macron Europe is reliving that period ...

The declarations arrive at a very special historical moment, the celebration of the centenary of the end of the First World War, celebrations that will end with the November 11 ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe, in the presence of a hundred executives from around the world .

The solution, for the French president, is a strong and more independent but united Europe, in this sense we also understand other initiatives such as the European Intervention Initiative, just by way of example.

How much then his words have been influenced by some recent events in the industrial field, such as the choice of Belgium to acquire F35 from the American giant Lockheed Martin - instead of the Flurry - or by the losses of Total following the US foreign policy that this summer have prompted the first French oil company to abandon investment projects in Iran, this is to be ascertained ...
