Thousands of Turkish army and police men would be near the NATO base of Incirlik at 10 km from the Turkish city of Adana, not far from the Syrian border. The base hosts thousands of employees and represents a fundamental part in the chessboard of the Atlantic Alliance on the Middle East and Eurasian fronts.

The movements of heavily armed troops and the positioning of the police in and out of the base would suggest important innovations.

Among the unconfirmed rumors, the attempt to prevent a second coup attempt is also mentioned.

In consideration of the veil lowered on the information in the hours immediately following the attempted coup, it is not easy to understand the reliability of the sources.

With every certainty in these days in Turkey rapid changes would be underway within the Armed Forces, including a revolution within the Military Schools, which would no longer enjoy the confidence of President Erdogan.

The decree according to which the Turkish Services (Millî İstihbarat Teşkilâtı, National Information Organization) would no longer respond to the Ankara government but directly to the presidential cabinet.
