35.000 are the civilians displaced from Sirte from May to today. This is the data that is detected by the UN.

A dramatic situation, therefore, because the 35.000 are added to the other displaced persons previously detected and thus arriving at a total of 90.449 people who have abandoned everything and fled away. Sirte will soon become a ghost town. Al Sarraj's offensive to counter the Islamists resulted in an evacuation of the entire area, the homeland of Colonel Gaddafi.

The problem of displaced people also affects Libyan students, as the schools of the localities that host them are used as dormitories. According to the UN, 558 school buildings are no longer viable and 279.000 local students thus find themselves without the right to education.
