Revival - History, Challenges, Wins

Writing about defense also means having the privilege of knowing special realities, capable of getting you excited and of transmitting that knowledge that you never expected. Among these, the Paralympic Defense Sports Group certainly deserves to be mentioned. A Group born from the agreement signed in the 2014 between the Ministry of Defense and the Italian Paralympic Committee and which today has over 40 members. Men and women, athletes, but above all soldiers, people who for various reasons have suddenly had to deal with disabilities, with a condition other than that which they used to live on a daily basis and who found in sport the reason to keep looking go ahead and serve your country.

28 of them are told in "Revenge - History, challenges, victories" book published by Points of view. Many stories present in the volume: from Lieutenant Colonel Gianfranco Paglia, "Captain" of the team, to Lieutenant Colonel of the Air Force Marco Iannuzzi, "Engine" of the Group, going through that of the major corporal chosen Monica Contraffatto, first female soldier of the Army to be decorated, and again Domenico Russo, Pellegrina Caputo, Roberto Punzo and many others. Biographies, images, actions and reactions: stories of revival, rebirth and victory through the sport of special people.

A book that excites, from beginning to end. An unexpected end, a special fourth cover, full of messages: the ones that the 28 athletes wanted to give them. Quotes, but also personal messages, each one different from the other, but all linked by a thin thread, the warning to never give up. And as the Minister of Defense, Senator Roberta Pinotti, writes in the preface of the book "All of them are the truest testimony of how diversity does not always constitute a barrier, but can become a precious resource and a positive value for all of us".
