Mirko Crocoli: Matteo Salvini "O Captain! My Captain!"

O Captain! My captain! is the title of the book, published in these days and dedicated by the author Mirko Crocoli, whom we met, just to the vice premier and minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini.

From the synopsis of the publishing house of his book we read: These are the 180 days of a minister in government. Not just any politician but the new face of Europe. Exalted, desired and "glorified" but also and above all attacked, criticized and denigrated on several fronts. He is the man of the moment.

In your opinion is Matteo Salvini the charismatic politician or populist politician?

Charismatic without a doubt. Currently in the European scene represents the best. A leader who knows how to make the leader even using (when needed) methods a little 'singular'. But if we really want to change this country it is necessary to pull out the attributes or the other member states will crush us like ants. Let us not forget that Europe was also founded by us. Maybe it's time for the Italians to raise their heads a little and show that the ancient civilization deserves a different respect. For "populist" depends on what is meant. If for populist we mean the one who takes on the problems of a people and is there to SERVE and to keep what has been promised to his voters, then it is. There is to march. The time of the chatter is over. Either you work seriously or we are lost. Matthew is simply (so to speak) ensuring safety for our children, after years of forgetfulness and uncertainty. Respect the mandate given to him by his fellow citizens! Often the term populist is used by its detractors in a derogatory way, but remember that they are the same as the people who are highly scrubbed thinking exclusively to wink at banks, large industrialists and lobbies in Brussels.

Has your unique communicative language really changed the way of doing politics?

Absolutely yes. Never seen so much enthusiasm on the part of the people. Women, men, elderly people, even children are approaching politics thanks to its extraordinary way of approaching the problems that afflict our society. Dozens, hundreds of spontaneous pro-Salvini groups are born on all the territories of the Peninsula and every day the sections of the League are born like mushrooms. A new way to dialogue, to conceive of involvement and to make citizens participate. Until recently, the "category" (of politicians) was invisible to the overwhelming majority of public opinion. Now, with the advent of Matthew, this prejudice is magically disappearing to give light to a new course that will surely leave its mark.

"If in this particular historical moment there is a man (as Shakespeare said) that he is made of the same substance of which dreams are made, he can only be Matteo Salvini". What do you mean by this descriptive framework?

Yes I think so. If there is someone in the European political landscape that more than any other seems to be made of the same substance that dreams are made of, this someone can only be him. Look around you. When Matteo Salvini passes the crowd is delirious, selfies are wasted and the euphoria is galvanizing. He is not a Hollywood star, a Rock Star or a football champion. He is a political leader. Do you find the 8 December normal in Piazza del Popolo? A world is moving for him. Many want to go back to dreaming and hoping. Hope therefore! Until a few months ago it had vanished into thin air. And when you take away the hope of a people, you also take away their dignity. What I say is under everyone's eyes. I do not find hot water. Whoever attacks him must make a damned reason sooner or later.

How has the "local" establishment shaken and disturbed the EU's strong powers?

In the most cumbersome and annoying way. He took away the "giochero" that for years has made Italy an open sewer. With the harshness of uncontrolled immigration, an infinite number of enemies were made. It is not the numbers and accounts that worry Brussels. The reality is completely different. We try to be less hypocritical. It is not the 2,4 or the 2,6 but the immigration business that for years has infested the entire boot. The hatred towards him by the internal and foreign opponents is all to be found in the profitable migratory affair. Italy has arrived in the last maneuvers also at the 3,0 but I do not think there have been universal floods. The truth? "Take a little bit of Africa and we'll make you spend it". Think how many mafias have "chewed us" for years. Stuprators, smugglers, corporals, thieves, pimps and red co-operatives disguised as shelters when they were nothing more than machines to make so much money. Well done, but stupid no! Someone had to act. He did it because Italians are tired of living with alarms and bars. To the strong powers and to the sold "nostrani" (antipopolo for antonomasia) all this has given a lot of trouble.

Il Time magazine he defined it The New Face of Europe. Do you think that the anti-Brussels par excellence will be able to put into practice really in the future its idea of Europe?

In May we will see it but the road now appears to have been traced. The polls are clear and Italy seems to have woken up from the torpor. Excuse me. Not Italy, even the rest of Europe. In France we see what is happening, in Germany the same, Spain is following a rota not to mention the Visegrad area. In conclusion. I honestly believe that all that beautiful castle that Junker and partners have created for years sooner or later will end up collapsing on him, for the good of many peoples to whom he was taken away, in a cowardly and devious way, THE SACRED SOVEREIGN !!!
