Too many political salons and a little behind. Military summits did not understand

17/03/17

In recent days, the news has caused a sensation that on the regional trains of Lazio, commuter announcements have been launched, inviting travelers in uniform to give the place, in the event of crowding of the train, to "A" series passengers, that is to all other commuters.

If the military had had the union organs, like all the workers, the event would have been a reason for a strike because, those announcements, have seriously damaged the dignity of travelers in uniform.

A reaction from the General Staff was expected, which unfortunately happened.

We say "unfortunately" because with a laconic letter, the military leaders have communicated that they had heard of these announcements, that they had contacted the State Railways shortly and that they had found behaviors that were not always exemplary on the part of the military. The letter closes with an equally laconic invitation to the soldiers to respect the rules of principle of the "Status of military".

Question. Then?
Perhaps the problem was seen in these terms ?!
The military benefits from a convention between the General Staff and the Lazio Region which offers the opportunity to the military to travel for free on trains provided that the military is dressed in uniform.
The Lazio Region bears the burden of paying a lump sum to FF.SS. for every soldier traveling in uniform.
So the military does not travel free as the Lazio Region pays a refund amount to the railways for each seat occupied.
So the military is entitled to sit down.

So why the FF.SS. have they launched those ads that are harmful to the dignity of the military? And the invitation made by the General Staff to the military with a laconic letter, what does it consist of? That is, should the military give way to all travelers? Should a soldier give way even to a boy? Or worse still to a non-EU citizen traveling without a ticket?
What is the invitation of the General Staff? It is not understood.

It would have been more appropriate to take the Convention or the memorandum of understanding signed between the FFSS - Lazio Region and the Armed Forces to understand what the terms of the agreement are.
If in the convention it is foreseen that the military will travel standing then, no doubt, the military had to know.
But if the convention does not foresee this, then why did the Railways "offend" the category by launching those squalid train announcements?

The military should not be praised when they arrive in earthquake-stricken areas or submerged by snow to save lives. They should not be respected only when there is to shovel mud for flooding of the rivers. They should not be praised when they intervene, with self-denial, professionalism and silence on every occasion when catastrophes bring our nation to its knees.
The military must always be protected ... and not with laconic and incomprehensible letters.

We are faced with a correction of military summits ... in the hope that they will be able to devote a few moments of attention to the problem ... between a reception and a political authority to meet.
