Today the decree for foreign missions passes to Parliament for its definitive approval. The Defense, extra ordinary budget, every six months raises cash to ensure the international commitments that the Government has undertaken with the International Community, or with individual States.
In the most current case there is the Italian commitment in Niger. About 500 men who will reinforce / replace the existing contingents
in the area. In particular the French one of the new desert fox, "Macron".
It is clear that moving the ranks of everything in Europe is the Franco-German axis with a Macronian circulation. Italy and Spain not received, followers of two states that do what they want in the silent, complacency of the European Union.
France, in Libya, is dealing with everyone in order to have a counterpart in influence and energy resources and in Niger the same thing.
Italy has been tightened in an infernal grip and I'll explain why. The treaty of the Quirinale is probably the last of the grips, because under constant blackmail from the French cousins: relatives snakes!
Italy has a big problem called "Leonardo" which apparently lacks important and long-lasting orders. Leonardo needs oxygen to keep going. Ad Profumo is working hard to continue the transformation process that sees for 2018 a strong push towards the internationalization of the Company, that is to be present as a first-level partner in large and long-term orders involving large global companies. Specifically, Leonardo must enter into the Fincantieri-Stx affair at all costs because in that context the foundations are laid for the future European defense industry. The project can really become the example of the European joint venture in the defense field, to be replicated among other countries.
In the middle of this year the intervention parameters between Fincantieri and Stx in the military industry will have to be established, since in the civil one there is already a general agreement.
Fincantieri, the Italian Government, therefore, must in these first six months of 2018 bring Leonardo into the partnership at all costs.
This preamble to say that the intervention in Niger should be used as a lever in the next negotiating table with the French and I hope that in the Treaty of the Quirinale has already been addressed this topic, so dear to the Italian military industry and to the many workers who hope in the future.
