SUMMER SCHOOL "European and Vatican diplomacy compared: cooperation and challenges in international crisis scenarios"

The University of International Studies of Rome (UNINT), with the collaboration of Tota Pulchra and the patronage of Online Defense, is planning the Summer School "Comparison between European and Vatican diplomacy: cooperation and challenges in international crisis scenarios".

The goal is to make the visitors understand how supranational actors move in the scenarios of war and international crisis, explaining the functioning of the informal networks of social interaction, used to leverage local politics and illustrating the best practices where these actors have managed to make a difference.

The main subjects to which the course will refer are three:XNUMX-XNUMX business days, Santa Thirst and private non-governmental organizations.

The Summer School is aimed at both students and professionals in possession of a three-year degree. Specifically to:

  • Students of political science, law, history, sociological or anthropological subjects;
  • Priests, religious and / or missionaries;
  • Researchers specialized in the European Union or international relations;
  • Journalists working in crisis areas;
  • Career diplomats; Entrepreneurs and managers operating in developing countries;
  • Specialists and scholars of domestic and foreign politics, geopolitics, strategic studies, economics and international finance.

The course will start in May 2021 and will end in July 2021.

A total volume of work of 200 hours corresponds to the set of activities, equal to 8 CFU (University Educational Credits: 1 CFU every 25 hours of commitment including the time dedicated to individual study for the entire course, as per art. .5 of Ministerial Decree 509/99 and Ministerial Decree 270/2004).

Lessons will take place in mixed mode. The face-to-face lessons will take place at the UNINT Rome office in via Cristoforo Colombo, 200.

In consideration of the current situation deriving from COVID-19, the times and methods of delivery of the lessons may be subject to variations.

Attendance is compulsory and absences of more than 20% of the theoretical lessons are not allowed.

The course aims to train a specialized figure who, placed in the company staff, has the skills to be able to face the challenges posed by relations with abroad. At the end of the course, participants will be able to operate in:

  • Information and security equipment
  • Journalism
  • Diplomacy
  • Strategic companies and businesses
  • Non-governmental organizations
  • International careers
  • European funds

It is possible to apply for registration up to 10 May 2021.

UNINT in collaboration with the association Tota Pulchra will make available n. 2 scholarships to fully cover the participation fee for the Summer School on the basis of the income which must fall within the value of 10.000 ISEE certificates.

The registration fee is € 516,00.
