The first phase of the exercise ends on 23 April Open Sea 2023, the main training cycle of the Armed Forces organized and conducted by the command in chief of the naval team.
6 soldiers involved, civilian personnel, university institutes and research centres, 23 nations (12 NATO countries and 11 Partners), 41 naval units, amphibious units of the marine brigade Saint Mark, Naval Aviation planes and helicopters, COMSUBIN raiders and divers, naval vehicles and aircraft of the Port Authorities and vehicles and personnel of the Army, Air Force, Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza.
These are the numbers of the deployment of vehicles and men that characterize the 2023 edition.
The Ships of the Navy, engaged in the Open Sea 2023, will stop from 23 to 25 April in various ports, touching various locations.
Sardinia, Tuscany, Lazio, Campania, Sicily, Calabria are the regions affected by the event.
From the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Ionian Sea, the stops of the naval units will take place in the cities of Cagliari, Olbia, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Salerno, Trapani, Catania and Reggio Calabria.
From central to southern Italy, including the islands, the Navy is pleased to welcome on board the population who will be able to meet the members of the various crews on this occasion.
