Today at 12.20 "Trump miraculously survives the attack: analysis of the facts"

14/07/24

On July 13, 2024, during an election rally in Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump was the victim of an attack. A sniper, Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired from a rooftop less than 150 feet from the stage, wounding Trump in the ear. Two people died and several others were injured.

The director of the secret services, Kimberly Cheatle, will have to testify on July 22 before a parliamentary commission to respond to criticism of the security breaches. Witnesses had reported the sniper's presence to officers before the attack, but their concerns were ignored.

The Catholic community in the United States has expressed concern and solidarity, with church leaders such as Bishop David Zubik and Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio condemning the political violence and asking for prayers for Trump and other victims.

This event highlighted the political tensions in the country, with many calls for peace and an end to political violence from religious and political figures.

Together with the American journalist and analyst Andrew Spannaus and to the security, intelligence and terrorism expert Carlo Biffani, today at 12.20, we will analyze the scene and the consequences of the attack.

See you there!
