Naples, presented the fourth edition of Naples Shipping Week

The fourth edition of the event was officially presented during a press conference at the Polo dello Shipping in Naples Naples Shipping Week. The Neapolitan city will host the highly anticipated week dedicated to the culture and economy of the sea, from 28 September to 3 October 2020.

The Navy is the institutional partner of the event organized by the Propeller Club Port of Naples and the Clickutility Team. Always an important moment of discussion for the maritime community on news in the field of shipping, logistics and technological innovation, this year the week presents itself with an innovative format based on face-to-face conferences, guaranteeing maximum safety with regard to Covid indications, and in streaming offering the possibility of participation to an even wider and more international audience.

The news will also concern some of the topics covered, starting with decarbonization, a topic addressed in Italy for the first time, to then move on to innovations in the automation and digitization processes of maritime operations, logistics, and the presentation of the most recent means for surveillance of port and coastal spaces.

The Navy will take care of a session on Thursday 1 October at 16,30 pm within the Port & ShippingTech international forum, which will take place in the presence of the Maritime Station Congress Center and will be fully streamed. "Italy and the sea, an essential and indissoluble bond", will be the topic of the conference held by the frigate captain Daniele Panebianco of the 3rd planning and maritime policy department.

The participation of team admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, chief of staff of the Navy is expected.

The presentation press conference saw the intervention of Admiral Eduardo Serra, head of the logistics command of Naples, who underlined the importance of the presence of the Navy in the Campania capital: "The Navy has chosen to bring the logistic command to Naples, one of the four pillars on which it is based, also strengthening the ancient historical link with the Neapolitan city; the current Navy, in fact, was born from the merger of the Bourbon Navy with The Naples Shipping Week event is an excellent opportunity to underline the fundamental role of the Navy in contributing to the security of the national community, to international stability and to the promotion of the 'Country System'. Through the use of the aeronaval instrument, the Armed Force guarantees presence, surveillance, deterrence and contrast to illegal activities, in support and coordination with the national merchant cluster ".

For the occasion, Nave will arrive in Naples Palinuro during the whole event.
