We publish the meeting with the authors of the book “Geopolitics and Strategy: Italy in the Wider Mediterranean”. The work applies the theories of classical geopolitics to interpret the events of our time:

• Italy in the rimland, a geographical space of conflict but also of opportunity;

• maritime power and strategies Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD);

• the importance of historical data, with the analysis of the Imperial Japan in the first half of the twentieth century;

• The Enlarged Mediterranean and the idea of ​​a Infinite Mediterranean;

• the geopolitical dynamics of the islands of the South and East China Sea;

• the new role of the NATO.

The volume is a collective that follows a precise narrative thread, written by members of the Army Study Center APS: Lorenzo Di Bella, Diego Abbo, Marco Falsetti, Giuseppe Chirico, Antonio Venci, Luigi D'Adamo, Luigi Chiapperini e Manlio Scopigno.

The preface is by Salvatore Farina, former Chief of Staff of the Army, while the afterword is by the journalist Pine Finocchiaro. In an era in which History seems to have resumed its path, the book analyses the new scenarios of instability, the risks and threats to global security and prosperity.
