Syria: the ISIS farce ended, a more dangerous one begins in Raqqa

"The removal of ISIS tumor from the so-called capital of their so-called Caliphate is the next step in our military campaign", announced Peter Cook, a Pentagon press officer on Monday.

"Syrian democratic forces announced they had begun the advance to isolate Raqqa. The operation is an important step to ensure that ISIS does not use the city to terrorize the Syrian people and as a basis for planning attacks against the United States, its allies and partners. Do not underestimate the hard work on the field of local forces that will face the fight for Raqqa. We are sure that, with the help of the Coalition, they will be successful."

In the media war that the Syrian government is undergoing from 6 years a new scorching defeat looms on the horizon. The imminent release of Aleppo by the rebels who hold the eastern part of the city hostage, seems to galvanize the minds of the overwhelming majority of Syrians, those loyal to the government of Damascus.

Focusing your eyes on Aleppo, albeit a strategic city, is a mistake that can cost you dearly.

In the last year a mass of armed rebel groups has been bred, trained and well equipped by the United States and other countries of the international coalition.

The excellent name chosen to present groups of men quite different from ISIS cutthroats is "Syrian Democratic Forces". Heterogeneous bands, often in conflict with each other, held together by the bowls of supplies of food and weapons from various masters. However, the leash is now unique.

After listening to too many testimonies of ordinary people who have had direct experience with the rebels over the years we have three certainties:

  • democracy is not at home in Syria (as it is not within thousands of kilometers from its border, except perhaps Lebanon),
  • of "Syrian" there is very little in terrorist groups imported from abroad,
  • the one begun a year ago is a marketing operation to make a future substitute for the Caliphate presentable.

The marketing activity in progress certainly does not have the local market, it is irremediably compromised, it has as its goal: the Western world, what wants to feel that there are heroes, partisans to fight a presumed bloody dictatorship " good "who follow the rules and, above all, should be helped!

With the Syrian democratic forces (SDF) instead of the Caliphate in Syria, soon the United States and allies will no longer have to "misplace" weapons and ammunitions to supply terrorists or "make mistakes" to kill 84 Syrian regular soldiers, they can do it - and they already do - to help the gentlemen that people want to believe in the field: valiant fighters, honest and DEMOCRATICS.

Raqqa is the first obvious step in the replacement on the ground of a now unattainable product (ISIS), out of the market, with a new brand.

Some might argue that many Isissians fight seriously and for them the change of jacket is not acceptable. The problem, when telling a colossal dance, is that many take it for real. You can not tell them the truth, if they got drunk they must be a little bit of tontarelli. They must be eliminated. This is happening in Mosul.

Alternatives?

At this point the only one can be just adding some term to increase its effectiveness.

"Syrian democratic vegetarian and ecological forces"?
