Cyrenaica in the square, flags burned, foreign "terrorists": Italy, ALWAYS !!!

(To Andrea Cucco)

Dear Online Defense readers, as we had anticipated, yesterday saw Cyrenaica take to the streets to express anger at those who should pacify the country and fight terrorism.

The protests spared no one. The UN special envoy, the German Martin Kobler, was depicted with a Hitlerian mustache while our defense minister, Roberta Pinotti, is shown with a terrorist beard.

The flags burned in the cities of Tobruk, Benghazi and al-Beida were, however, only the Italian ones.

For those who, like us, have sworn allegiance to that flag there is little to say, it hurts.

In life we have seen hundreds of flags burned. They were usually American or Israeli, never Italian.

However, it would be a mistake to be indignant and stop looking. Much less start to write easy panegyrics on the value of the banner and condemn the actions without trying to understand their meaning.

What is happening Libya has two functions: a devious, the other full of despair.

Wednesday, starting with the Ministry of Defense, we first warned about what was happening (v.articolo). Minister Pinotti the same evening, speaking to the "third branch of Parliament", the transmission Door to Door, had tempered some spirits (it was not followed only in Italy) and well or badly reaffirmed without the possibility of new counterfeits the intentions for Libya.

We remember what was happening in those hours on the net: the social networks had been overwhelmed by false messages that, distorting sentences of the minister or inventing them completely, have become viral and have provoked a wave of protests in Cyrenaica. The one that punctually showed up yesterday in the squares.

The question we asked ourselves immediately was: who could have an interest in undermining the long (very long) friendship given to Italians in Libya?

The country that should have been protected by Italy, has been raped for years by cousins and cousins who have only one goal: to plunder (v.articolo).

Libya possesses a wealth of energy resources (to others until a few years ago it was closed!) And a legacy of money and contracts from the past regime.

Too many ex-Italian agreements have been turned over by the "allies" to their own companies without any national politician saying a word. We have been and are watching, passing politically from sheep (still 30 years?) To doggy style.

Media silence on eastern Libya has also been imposed. Not on their part, nor on the Italian side, even if at this point nothing surprises ...

Italy is supporting a game of others. A plot of those behind appearances wants to divide their prey.

Only the Libyans and the Italians hold Libya's unity.

We are doing our best to break it up at the orders of those who want their shred and tell us that by keeping it we will keep them together.

The Libyans try to draw attention to a land where blood is shed by beasts also exported elsewhere and where "taxed" choices are made and people are not theirs. Perhaps even burning our flag.

Is this democracy?

Is this Italy?
