Two weeks ago an entire political class was literally wiped out. This despite all the "conventional" (and not?) Weapons deployed to resist the inevitable: the end.
Only thousands of politicians have come to the terminus, so are their lackeys, the true drama of every administration. Those who - as happened in the past decades - at every political alternation, stand aside waiting to return to the limelight at the next legislature.
What's wrong? Background music. A litany that recalls the Titanic orchestra. But we do not listen to notes aimed at alleviating an inevitable collective tragedy, here for a sinking ship there is a country that could re-emerge. And not from the water ...
Or is it perhaps the gramophone of the Führerbunker, the last seat of a being who, lost a conflict that killed the lives of millions of people, when even the last hope was lost, continued to issue orders far from the reality of things? Hitler's staff, however, in the last days did not say "we will keep the opposition": they had lost and it was clearly insane every defense.
Propaganda? Similar, but at least then you had the honesty to call it by its name and not "free information"! Above all, there was no hypocrisy to define a regime as "democratic" ...
Do you hear this silence? It is the wait. But that does not change habits to hierarchies. If before, not wanting to displease i maximi lider, someone remained inert or maybe bartered his life or - worse - the respect of his men for a new task (however reprehensible, could be "understandable"), now it is unacceptable!
In the defense field, Berlin's ruins seem like Disneyland compared to what has been done in recent years. Decades of progressive transparency and openness to information have been almost eliminated. The public opinion phobia seems to have remained in 50 years ago. The Italians are not stupid, they are victims of the absolute lack of "culture of defense", and not just a discourse of circumstance of a minister and its (well-meaning) good intentions ... you must clearly explain the daily truth of who serves our Country.
You live in the meantime with the terror of your own shadow. The shadow of soldiers who do not answer "I do not care!" Because they fear that someone can accuse them of who knows what ...
Why not remind the sorcetti (not the green ones, for heaven's sake!) That the motto was taken from a speech that took place on June 15, 1918 in Giavera del Montello between two of their colleagues, captain Zaninelli and major Freguglia, during the battle of the solstice? ! Freguglia called Zaninelli and said that with his company he had to attack an Austrian stronghold adding that it was a suicide mission but very important. Heroes and their mottos have preceded the twenty years, because they are afraid of "caring" about what the ignorant people think, especially if they are in bad faith ?!
We will have to work hard to give back to the Italians the pride of being such.
Do you hear those other voices above the bunker? It's the Russians: Putin has won the elections. What our leadership has been persuaded to demonize for years (the same that adored them, sometimes "served", before the fall of the wall?). The "enemies" we meet during the Scramble in half of Europe and that make us announce that we defend the skies of 6 Nato Countries (v.articolo). But no one ever wonders why the "allies" let us do this - very expensive - job?
As someone who knew the Italians well said: "Italians are always ready to go to the rescue of the winner". A new chapter of the Republic is about to go on stage, with a country and millions of disappointed or missing souls to recover.
