The Open Source Summit Europe is perhaps the most anticipated event on the European scene in relation to the famous "penguin" of the Linux Operating System.
A week of events, meetings, conferences and work among experts around the world begins under the auspices of the "The Linux Foundation", a nonprofit organization headquartered in San Francisco but now distributed around the world.
The program foresees the participation of more than 2000 experts.

Among these is Linus Torvald (photo), creator of the Linux kernel, always engaged in closely following the development of his creature.

For Intel Corporation will be present Imad Sousou, vice president and general manager of the company famous for its processors but very attentive to the world Open Source.

Among the youngest, the programmer and 15-year-old web designer Keila Banks. He began to program at the age of 9 and 12 won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year prize and, with only eleven years, the hacker Reuben Paul and founder of CyberShaolin.

Monday's most awaited events for security experts:
- "OP-TEE - Using TrustZone to Protect Our Own Secrets" presents Marc Kleine-Budde. Functionality that seems to be able to protect sensitive data even in the presence of a compromised kernel.

- the Monday afternoon panel "Hatching Security: LinuxKit as Security Incubator", keynote speakers are Tycho Andersen and Riyaz Faizullabhoy. We will talk about a new open source project called LinuxKit, a tool for creating Linux subsystems designed for secure virtualization of Linux environments.

Just a few hours before the event and last consideration: times have changed since, years ago, Linux was just a minor brother of the best-known Unix, so much changed that among the sponsors of the event we also find Microsoft and this shows how much attention is paid to the world of Open Source Software.
