There are no shortcuts in Cybersecurity!

In my last article: "Artificial Intelligence: Opportunity or Risk?", I tried to highlight some aspects of what is happening in the field of Artificial Intelligence in the world; this is because, like all news, it has positive aspects but also potentially dangerous aspects AND SO TO KNOW AND KEEP IN MIND FOR THE FUTURE Now, for the same reason, I intervene in a discussion carried out mainly by software producers linked to Artificial Intelligence and used above all to facilitate its dissemination: the use of Artificial Intelligence for IT Security or better Cybersecurity.

I read an article titled "Tom's Hardware Italy" on the site "Cybersecurity: few talents, better to use IA"which supports the thesis that Artificial Intelligence will be an" almost obligatory "choice for the world of Cybersecurity due to the fact that industry experts cybersecurity they are too few and are not able to cover requests from companies.

The choice of solutions based on artificial intelligence is presented as a low-cost solution to the problem ... NOTHING MORE WRONG in my opinion!
It is certainly true that the experts of Cybersecurity in Italy there are few, it is equally true that the request for experts is higher than the offer (at least this is said ... but I would be curious to see the salaries / compensation of the so-called "experts" to verify the truth of this statement), however there are some things that are not said and it is on these that I would like to draw attention.
Who has a little idea of how Artificial Intelligence works (I'm not talking about anyone who has an idea of reading novels or watching science fiction films) knows well that any robot needs to be taught, even those who are able to learn from your mistakes!) and to be instructed requires an Artificial Intelligence expert.

To instruct a robot in the field of Cybersecurity, what do we need?

First point: do we find Cyber experts and therefore do we seek an Artificial Intelligence expert to move the problem around?

Second point: Experts of Artificial intelligence are even less (many less, I would dare say, especially in Italy) of the experts of Cyber!

Result? If today we have a highly demanded Cyber Expert and a low bid, marrying the thesis of Tom's Hardware Italia, in the near future we will have a high demand from Cybersecurity need Artificial intelligence, experts who, being even less numerous will cost much more and, mind you, we can not do without it. Let us remember that you do not create an expert in Artificial intelligence in five minutes, the less so suddenly.

By reading these words, somebody might be tempted to ask, and then? What do you propose? In this case I propose to open my eyes and ears!

Tom's Hardware is a chain of newspapers on line that deals with technology, is an American chain and, as we know, the United States is at the forefront in the development of Artificial Intelligence and security technologies, so it is logical that we try to create in the world that feeling of not being able to do less than a new technology. And actually you can not do without less (forgive the pun) break away from the real world.

What I mean is that you have to be careful and do not think there are shortcuts where they do not exist: if you need experts Cybersecurity it is necessary to ensure that the school and the universities prepare (severely) young people to the new needs of society.

L'Artificial intelligence is a new world in which we need to enter the awareness of the risks we run and the Italian Universities will have to take note (I think they are doing) new needs, worrying that there will be more experts Artificial intelligence and among them a number of experts from Cybersecurity because this is the only serious way to proceed, unless you have a mountain of money and turn to big corporations relying on them completely!
