Yesterday WebStresser.org was deactivated as a result of a joint operation by the Dutch police, the British National Anti-Crime Agency, Europol and law enforcement agencies of several countries in the world.

On the Webstresser.org site they were sold "services" in DDoS subscription (Distributed Denial of service) starting from a minimum of 15,00 euro per month.
Site administrators from the UK, Croatia, Canada and Serbia were arrested on April 24 via the operation Power Off

Users were found to be distributed between the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Croatia, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Hong Kong.

The DDoS service, being illegal, was closed and the infrastructure that provided it located in the Netherlands, the United States and Germany, was seized.

Webstresser.org was considered the largest hacking services market in the world with over 136 registered users and 000 million attacks carried out by April 4. The attacks aimed at targeting critical online services offered by banks, government institutions and forces of the police but did not disdain hitting the gaming sector or private companies.

While until recently it had to be an expert to perform acts of hacking, it is nowadays more and more fashionable to resort to DDoS services rendered by more or less undercover IT companies.
