Codemotion has been the largest technical conference dedicated to software developers in Italy for years. Held in the Department of Computer Engineering of the Roma Tre University and divided into two days of workshops and two days of conferences, it saw the participation of 100 speakers who addressed topics such as Blockchain (v.articolo), artificial intelligence, programming, cloud, game dev and much more.

Among the speakers are also well-known personalities in the field of information such as Douglas Crockford creator of JSON, Amie Dansby of Marvel Studios, Richard Feldman of Elm, Jeff Minter founder Di Llamasoft and Matteo Collina contributor of Node.Js. The first two days were dedicated to the 6 workshops on Blockchain, Elm, Microservices, Serverless, CleanCode and Machine Learning while the conferences held over the last two days dealt with a large number of topics beyond those already mentioned, such as security, virtual reality and design .

In addition to the conferences, there were performances by game devs of virtual reality projects and many IT companies took part in the showcase of their products for all those interested.

Codemotion as already said is the largest conference of its kind in Italy, each conference, accompanied by a practical demonstration of the topic has proved interesting and lively thanks to the presence of an audience of industry experts and enthusiasts interested in sharing ideas and experiences in the IT field. To give an example of one of the topics discussed, one of the conferences presented new methods for interfacing the brain with technological devices such as drones.
Alex Castillo, the speaker, also demonstrated with the help of the public how to use devices based on tracking the brain's electrical activity to interface the brain and the machine. The implications of these technologies are varied, in the medical field, for example, a patient suffering from paralysis could move objects or prostheses interfaced to his brain only thanks to his brain activity and despite being a technology still under development and not fully mature, makes definitely hope for solutions that can improve many aspects of our lives. At the following link you can see a demonstration of the work (more).

Not only speakers and small companies, but also big companies such as Facebook, Cisco, IBM, Google, Microsoft, Intel and Red Hat have presented their solutions and their products during this edition of Codemotion providing the opportunity for young talent to be hired from their ranks.

Remember that Codemotion is held annually in Rome and renews the invitation to everyone, professionals or not united by the passion for the IT world, for the 2019 event.
