Ladies and gentlemen, we did it: we had the green light for the publication of a document that, if abroad would not be anything special, in our country is a real event.
Towards the end of January I had, almost with surprise, the authorization to interview the commander of one of the best departments of our armed forces, to speak with some raiders and to draw from the incomparable competence of the clerk to understand the endowments and - finally - have an authoritative opinion on one of the most talked about weapons last year: the Kalashnikov.
After the making of this video it took almost three months to get the authorization to publish it. There are understandable security reasons: the raiders are the real 007 of our times, they live in absolute anonymity and the work is unknown even to the people closest to them. In this case, however, in our work of disseminating a defense culture among fellow citizens, we have reached a limit that has probably worried someone. Abroad no one would worry, in Italy - I understand - the fear that some "party professionals" will be indignant because here our soldiers look like "soldiers" (and not the NGO operators they want institutionally) is certainly strong .
Evidently, however, even in the summit commands, it was decided to throw the heart over the obstacle.
I thank everyone (and there are many ...) those who have allowed us to achieve this result, in the hope that among the spectators prevail a feeling of pride for our fellow citizens in uniform and not of useless ideological polemic.
If only for the respect of the work of all Italian raiders, people who combine excellence and humility like few in the world.
