Padua does not forget the Holocaust

Yesterday in Padua, in the "Temple of the Unknown Internship", "Memory Day" was celebrated, an international anniversary celebrated on January 27 each year in commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust.

The event was organized by, together with the National Association of former internees, the Municipality and the Prefecture of Padua. In the presence of the General of Division, Gianfranco Rossi, Deputy Commander of the aforementioned Command, and the main local civil and military authorities, the Deputy Mayor of the City, Ivo Rossi, the President of the Province of Padua, Dr. Barbara Degani, the head of the Veneto History of Resistance and Contemporary Age Institute, Dr. Chiara Saonara and the President of the Community took the floor Jewish, Mr. Davide Romanin Jacur. A picket in arms of the 32nd Transmission Regiment and the fanfare of the Bersaglieri on leave of the Padua section, paid military honors to the fallen and to the remains of the recently repatriated Carabiniere Espedito Briafico and now buried inside the Temple. the Prefect of Padua presented the Medals of Honor to the military and civilians who were deported and interned in concentration camps at the time.
