The third artillery on the paths of history

Yesterday the mountain artillerymen of the 3 regiment, engaged in winter excursions in the area of ​​Brunico, San Candido and northern Veneto, wanted to pay tribute to the fallen of the great war with the deposition of a laurel wreath in the military memorial of Monte Grappa.

Mountain environment, the one chosen for the training of the "Montagnini" of the third, rich in historical links with the Great War; in fact, after the turning of our front to Caporetto, Monte Grappa became the pivot of Italian defense, which prevented the Austrians from conquering the Venetian plain.

Training, that of the men of the third artillery, indispensable for the fulfillment of the multiple tasks assigned to them, both nationally and internationally, which retraces the sites of the great war, giving the training activity an added value that consolidates the already great love patrio that the members of the armed forces have in common. 

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the sections of the National Alpine Association as well as the weapon and combat associations in the area.
