After three weeks the training cycle conducted by the men and women of the 1st Bersaglieri regiment in the permanent shooting range of Capo Teulada (CA) ended. The Campo d'Arma saw the Bersaglieri engage in fire and opposing party activities in a “Warfigthing” scenario.
In particular, during the fire phase, the staff underwent training aimed at verifying the planning, organization and conduct of a minor complex level exercise, on VCC 80 "Dardo" and VTLM Lynx, with the support of heavy mortars, selected shooters and JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller). In the "Livex" training window the units of the 1 ° Bersaglieri regiment operated in a realistic environment, using the individual weapons, vehicles and weapon systems supplied.
This activity, known as the 4A / 2018 CAPRICORN, was developed in collaboration with the Teulada 1 level-level Tactical Training Center (CAT).
In the two continuous exercises the Bersaglieri of the First regiment they were confronted with a prepared enemy and expert of the terrain, represented by the men of the 3rd Bersaglieri regiment who thoroughly tested the operational capabilities of the units exercised. Furthermore, during the exercise, a training activity was carried out aimed at verifying the capabilities that can be expressed by the unit in the CBRN (Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear) defense sector.
The live exercises were held in the presence of the commander of the division "Acqui" general division Fabio Polli, who came to visit for the occasion.
