The Minister of Defense, Elisabetta Trenta, accompanied by the commander of the Southern Operative Forces, Armed Forces General Rosario Castellano, visited the brigade's departments Garibaldi stationed in Persano. These include the 8 ° artillery regiment and the 4 ° Carri, operating units of the brigade, the "Garibaldi" logistic regiment that provides logistic support to training and operational activities, both at home and abroad, to all departments of the Grande Unit and the Persano District Command that manages the state area and coordinates the training activities, as well as the use of modern simulation systems present in the area.
Minister Trenta and General Castellano, received by the commander of the bersaglieri brigade "Garibaldi", General Diodato Abagnara, in a brief office call, have been updated about the potential of the Persano Military District and the ongoing and future activities of the brigade.
In the course of his visit, the minister, after saying goodbye to the Flags and War Banners of the departments, wanted to meet the personnel deployed in the parade ground: "I thank you for what you do both at home and abroad with professionalism and competence, always showing you up to the task. The contribution you have been providing for years in the Safe Road Operation is precious and greatly appreciated by the citizens for the sense of social reassurance and solidarity that your presence transmits.
