The Chief of Staff of the Army, general of the army corps Salvatore Farina, visited the artillery command and the 185th "Folgore" paratrooper artillery regiment.

Welcomed on his arrival by Brigadier General Fabio Giambartolomei, commander of the artillery command, and by Colonel Mauro Bruschi, commander of the 185th "Folgore" paratrooper artillery regiment, General Farina visited the main infrastructures of the two units, subsequently meeting all the staff congratulating him with them for the results achieved in the numerous training activities and in the operations carried out in the homeland, such as "Safe Roads" in the squares of Fiumicino and Civitavecchia and in the various operational theaters that have seen the gunners operate in Kosovo and Lebanon.

The head of EMS has highlighted how even today the Artillery represents a fundamental element for the Army and that this, like the other weapons, is fully integrated into the "five challenges" around which the evolution of the Army gravitates. The "Diavoli Gialli" of 185 ° has emphasized the peculiarity of the department that brings together a mix of military virtues that include the spirit of body and the preparation for combat of paratroopers, with the methodical precision and punctual application typical of the "Arma Dotta" Artillery . Finally, General Farina illustrated some of the main training events that will see the artillery protagonists both in Italy and abroad, emphasizing that the success of every activity of the Armed Forces has as a fundamental element the "team play" to do more and more together.

At the end of the visit to the units, General Farina met the mayor of Bracciano, dott. Armando Tondinelli, with whom he shared the full synergy and integration between the military and the city community, planning further future collaborations.
