The head of SME meets the COCER

The army chief of staff, Salvatore Farina, general of the army, met today in Rome, in the DIAZ hall of Palazzo Esercito, the Armed Forces Section of the Central Representative Council.

The meeting was organized by the head of SME to investigate some significant issues concerning the men and women of the Army and, once again, confirmed the attention to transparency and communication, as well as the agreement, based on a dialogue constructive and purposeful, between the Armed Forces and the Military Representation body.

In particular, attention was paid to: the "Safe Roads" operation, examining the aspects relating to the use of personnel and the actions taken to improve infrastructures, to the "corrective" process of the reorganization decree of the roles and careers of the Armed Forces personnel and, in concluding, to make a point of situation regarding the so-called "Green Barracks" project.

General Farina also stressed the importance of making the Armed Forces more and more cohesive, reaffirming that it is necessary to pursue the sharing of ideas in a climate of constructive confrontation and ensuring that all the capabilities of the Army General Staff will be available to the Council in order to foster teamwork that allows the desired results to be achieved in the common interest.

At the end, after responding to the requests represented by the delegates, the Army Chief of Staff recalled the need, in a very intense and demanding period for the Armed Force, to proceed proactively, positively and coordinated with an approach always aimed at improving the institution.
