Reno river flood: the Army intervenes again

The work of the Army has continued since yesterday to restore normal conditions in the province of Bologna following the collapse of a stretch of the Reno river embankment and the consequent flooding in the municipality of Castel Maggiore.

The activities are still underway, the area of ​​interest has expanded and the same prefecture of Bologna, to face the emergency, has requested the intervention of the Army also in the municipality of Argelato.

Therefore, from the early hours of today, the Railway Engineers regiment has intervened with two additional assets equipped with wheeled pump pumps and a towing complex with a rotated backhoe, to free garages and rooms on the ground and basement floors as well as for the restoration of some road sections.

At this time 15 men and women are operating, coordinated by the situation room of the Command of the North Operative Forces of Padua.
