The "Blizzard II" 2018 exercise, where the operators of the 185 ° Regiment Recognition Acquisition Objectives (RRAO) conducted mobility maintenance training in mountain summer, in different locations in Tuscany.

The main purpose of the exercise was to train the RRAO men in the information collection in context counter terrorism (CT), both in rural and urban environment.

In particular, three "Operative Detachments" (DO) Acquisitors were used, which were coordinated by a "Special Operation Land Task Group" (SOLTG) set up inside the Pisacane barracks in Livorno, the Regiment's headquarters. Together with climbing techniques in mountain summer, the insertion modalities were used with free-fall aviation, the release in Fast Rope and the high-grip edge.

The latter, in particular, has envisaged the use of a rigid keel inflatable boat called RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat), from which the operators who have inflated two other "commando" model inflatable boats have been released.

Once they reached a cliff, they applied climbing techniques similar to those used in the mountains. Finally, both the launch with the free fall technique (TCL) and the descent in Fast Rope were possible thanks to the use of a CH-47 helicopter of the 3rd Special Operations Helicopters Regiment (REOs).
