(To Army Majority State)

In recent days, the multidisciplinary surgical team at the "Celio" Military Policlinic in Rome performed the first laparoscopic abdominal surgery with voice-activated robotic support. The surgical team made up of Army medical and nursing staff, led by the hospital director of "Celio", found excellent operating results and patient satisfaction.
This type of new cutting-edge surgical technique allows the interventions to be carried out using the presence of a mechanical arm which, responding to the operator's vocal commands, guarantees both a high precision and a less invasive surgical action.

The introduction and experimentation of new biomedical technologies in step with the scientific evolution testifies once again how the Policlinico Militare di Roma, the main body that provides health personnel to field hospitals in operating theaters, represents a center of excellence in the panorama Italian and international health and training for young medical officers.
