"2018 Plateaus": the logistic regiment simulates high-intensity scenery

The “Pozzuolo del Friuli” logistic regiment concluded the “Altipiani 2018” exercise in recent days. The activity included in the capacity checks for CBRN Defense (Chemical, Bacteriological, Radiological, Nuclear) planned annually for each Army unit took place in the external area of ​​the "Lesa" Barracks in Remanzacco.

Regiment personnel simulated reacting to a CBRN attack during a military autocolumn transfer in a high-intensity scenario, in a hypothetical hostile environment.

The military tested the individual protective equipment and applied all the procedures foreseen in case of unconventional aggression.

The individual and departmental skills, continuously improved with training, guarantee the necessary technical - professional and ethical preparation for carrying out the tasks assigned to the modern units of the “Pozzuolo del Friuli” cavalry brigade.

With the "2018 Altipiani" exercise, the logistic regiment was able to refine and develop the technical tactical procedures typical of a support unit, aimed at full operation in complex scenarios included, also, in the context of National Projection Screening Capacity.

The exercise, followed by the commander of the regiment, Colonel Alessandro Tassi, highlighted in the course of the activities carried out how the realistic training continues to guarantee the fundamental preparation to successfully face all the challenges and tasks assigned to the Army.

The cavalry brigade, under the command of Brigadier General Giovanni Parmiggiani is the Large Unit of Armed Force to provide the assets for the National Projection Screening Capacity.
