35 new rescuers for the Army

In the morning today, the certificates were handed over to 35 new Army military rescuers. With the carrying out of the last exam sessions of the past few days, the four weeks of the demanding course of the course ended which, on this occasion, was carried out entirely at the headquarters of the "Savoia Cavalleria" (3rd) regiment in Grosseto .

According to the directives contained in the Memorandum of Understanding established between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Policies, the frequent visitor, coming from many departments of the country, has been subjected to a strict selection of admission for then be initiated into the participation of the actual course itself. After an initial phase, based on anatomy and physiology lessons, passing an intermediate test, the aspiring rescuers had to obtain the BLS (basic life support) qualification to access the theoretical and practical part, dedicated to the acquisition of life saving techniques and maneuvers. .

This last phase saw the instructors set up realistic operational scenarios with different intervention scenarios. Fundamental in the many international missions that the Army is involved in, the figure of the military rescuer has become, over the last few years, an essential element in the tactical activities carried out by the units on the ground.
