The “Sassari” brigade celebrated the “Feast of the Corps and War Flags of the 151st and 152nd Infantry Regiments” on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the battle of the “Tre monti”. The successes at the end of the bloody and dramatic clashes that took place on the Asiago plateau from 28 to 31 January 1918 constituted an important operational and moral victory for the Italian Army and the beginning of the recovery after the defeat of Caporetto.

The value shown in combat by the soldiers of the "Sassari" earned the 2ª gold medal for military valor to the war flags of its two regiments, the 151 ° and the 152 °. The re-enactment of the battle took place during a ceremony held in the "Gonzaga" barracks in Sassari, seat of the 152 regiment, during which the war flags of the brigade's historical departments were lined up. The ceremony was attended by the deputy commander of the Brigade "Sassari", Colonel Giuseppe Levato, all the military and civilian personnel of the brigade, together with the families of Sardinian soldiers who fell in the performance of their duties both at home and abroad.

The affection of the city authorities has been stressed by the presence at the event of the mayor of Sassari Nicola Sanna, the prefect Giuseppe Marani, the archbishop Gian Franco Saba and other important civil and military offices of the province. Colonel Levato addressed the greetings of General Andrea Di Stasio, commander of the "Sassari" Brigade, who was unable to attend the celebrations in Sardinia as he was engaged in Rome at the helm of the Lazio-Abruzzo group in the context of the operation " Safe Roads ".

The festivities ended in the evening with a benefit concert by the band of the "Sassari" brigade held at the Palazzo di Città in the Turrian capital. The event, conceived by the godmother ofnational association of brigades Sassari and organized in collaboration with the municipality of Sassari, the prefecture, the Banco di Sardegna and the association itself, it allowed to raise the necessary funds to complete the restructuring of the Casa Santi Angeli, an educational center built in the ecclesial area in the 1919 and deeply rooted in the history of the city, which reopens its doors after many years of forced closure due to major expansion and redevelopment of the structure created for the growth of minors in conditions of serious difficulty.
