13 February 1906 happened: Operational and regulated the "pincer" torpedo torch

13/02/14

A new type of 450 mm torpedo launcher called "pincer", easy to use, of little bulk and weight, but not pivoting and with side-release installation only, is in operation and regulated.

Designed for high-speed units, it will not be practical to use on board the torpedo boats because the launcher binds the unit to the attack course making the reaction exposure longer; it will instead be the practical and ideal solution for torpedo boats, the future MAS of 1915.
