Podium for the Italian Navy at the 2019 edition of the 'Riva per Tutti'

In the Tyrrhenian Riva per Tutti regatta the Navy climbs on the second step of the podium in the ORC ranking with the First 36,7 Cygnus of the Sailing Section of Anzio.

The sailing event, organized by the Riva di Traiano Nautical Club, along the Riva di Traiano-Ventotene-Riva di Traiano route, saw the start of the fleet on 6 last April. The Cygnus, with skipper the captain of corvette Antonio Tudisco, sporting director of the Anzio Sailing Section, earned second place at the end of the 218 miles of regatta, covered in about 48 hours, under a moderate wind, mainly from the mistral, with peaks up to at 18 knots.

On board the boat also the athletes of Sport Vela Marina Militare, Giovanna Valsecchi and Andrea Pendibene, ocean sailors already protagonists of solo and double regattas in the Mini 6.50 class.

During the award ceremony, the congratulations were received from the president of the UVAI (Unione Vela d'Altura Italiana), Fabrizio Gagliardi, who thanked the Navy for participating in the offshore event.

Next appointment for the First 36,7 of the Navy the 100 National Regatta Miles of the Middle Tyrrhenian Sea, organized by the Circeo Yacht Vela Club, which will start from the Port of Circeo the 4 next May.
