Memorandum of Understanding between the Carabinieri and the Italian Academy of Forestry Sciences

Yesterday in Rome at the General Command of the Carabinieri, the commander general Tullio Del Sette and the president of the Italian Academy of Forest Sciences prof. Orazio Ciancio have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which aims to protect the environmental heritage which is a fundamental part of national identity.

The agreement will promote cooperation between the two institutions in the training and training sectors, with specific regard to forest sciences applied to the protection, management and protection of the environment, territory and forest ecosystems, through the organization of courses, conferences and conferences. and exchange of best practices.

In addition, the agreement provides for forms of technical-scientific collaboration to support investigation activities and dissemination and awareness-raising initiatives for the dissemination of environmental culture.

The Arma, for the realization of the aims of the agreement, will involve for the staff training activities the Command of the Schools (in particular the Carabinieri Forest School of Cittaducale) and, for the management activities of the protected and operational areas, the Command Carabinieri Forest Protection, Environmental and Agri-food Protection Unit.
