Kosovo: the Italian military contingent donates medical material to the polyclinic of the city of Peja

In recent days a project of Civil and Military Cooperation (CIMIC) has concluded, which saw Italian soldiers of the Regional Command West (RC-W), based on 24 ° regiment "Peloritani", engaged since last 13 June in the ambit of mission in Kosovo called "Joint Enterprise", to make a donation of devices for the sterilization of dental equipment in favor of the Peja / Peč regional hospital. Objective of the donation is to improve the sanitary and hygienic conditions within the dental department of the polyclinic.

Attending the ceremony for the donation of medical equipment, in addition to the medical and nursing staff, the mayor of the city of Peja / Peč and the councilor for health who thanked the commander of the Regional Command West, Colonel Daniele Pisani, for the continuous support that Italy provides, not only through its units that daily operate in the area to guarantee the security and stability of the country, but also for the active and continuous collaboration that Italy demonstrates through civil and military cooperation activities carried out side by side with the various local authorities.

The donation made is one of the social activities that contribute significantly to the good of the community, through the support of essential services for the populations living in Kosovo. Education, health and infrastructure are the fundamental pillars that the RC-W supports with its civil and military cooperation activities, developed in close collaboration with local authorities, in order to contribute to the growth and socio-economic development of the country.
