Kosovo: the Italian soldiers of the MNBG-W receive the visit of the ANPd'I section. of Viterbo

The Italian contingent of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W) recently received a visit from a delegation from the Viterbo section of the National Paratroopers Association of Italy (ANPd'I.).

The president of the local section of the Paratroopers Association, lawyer Giovanni Bartoletti, wanted to greet the soldiers of the MNBG-W, currently under Italian leadership, based on the 185th "Folgore" paratroop artillery regiment, also visiting the places directly protected by the military personnel stationed in Kosovo. Among the members of the composed delegation, as technical director of the section, also the Silver Medal for Military Valor, retired lieutenant Giampiero Monti, who underlined the commendable commitment of the Italian contingent engaged in the "Joint Enterprise" operation since since 1999.

During the meeting with the contingent, the commander of the MNBG-W, Colonel Ettore Gagliardi, recalled the deep bond that unites the units of the “Folgore” with the city of Viterbo, where the historical roots of Italian parachuting reside.

The MNBG-W, composed of Italian, Slovenian, Austrian and Moldovan units, in compliance with the provisions of United Nations resolution 1244, guarantees the freedom of movement of Kosovo citizens, ensuring a safe and secure environment within the Balkan territory .
