(To KFOR)
22/08/18

In the last few days two important donations have been completed in favor of the Kosovar citizens by the soldiers of the 5 ° alpine regiment, a regiment currently employed in Kosovo within the KFOR operation.

The 14 August staff of the Italian CIMIC has donated several tanks from 1500l that will be used for the collection of drinking water and irrigation in favor of the RAE community (Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians) - a composite ethnic minority present in Kosovo - of Nepolje / Nepole, which lives a condition of particular difficulty with regard to the availability of running water, discomfort accentuated by the summer heat.

The 15 August were instead donated some PCs and a projector in favor of the Fire Department of Djakovica / Gjakova, in order to equip a classroom that will be used for training and updating of body personnel.

Activities such as these fall fully within the mandate of the CIMIC (Civilian Military Cooperation), both those aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of local institutions, as those of immediate support to the population for the restoration of primary needs.
