The mission in Afghanistan of NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Italy (NRDC-Ita) of Solbiate Olona has ended. The men and women of the "Ugo Mara" barracks landed at Malpensa after more than a year in the Afghan capital.

At the head of his own, the General of the Armed Forces Giorgio Battisti, Commander of NRDC-Italy, who for all the 2013 has served as Chief of Staff of ISAF, guiding the staff of the international mission, composed of personnel coming from by well 49 nations, in the delicate and fundamental phase of the transition of the country's responsibility to the Afghan security forces and in which the mission starts the final phase scheduled for December 2014.
