VIDEO: the living standards of the new Navy ships

Ship Marceglia is the latest unit launched as part of the FREMM program, the modern multi-mission European frigates for which the national shipbuilding industry, in synergy with the Navy, has adopted the best engineering solutions, not only to ensure increasingly advanced defense performance articulated international scenarios, but also for high safety and livability standards.

But how do you live on board? We went to browse with our cameras to find out how a ship is structured and to document everyday life at sea.

On the ships of the Navy, officers, non-commissioned officers, graduates and soldiers of the troop role, men and women work together with great harmony, spirit of body and sense of belonging.

These real floating cities are on average 140 meters long and house the crew in accommodation with up to four people.

Meals are packaged in the kitchens with particular attention to the nutritional needs of the crew who can also take advantage of a laundry with industrial-type systems for washing and drying clothes.

The liveability is guaranteed also thanks to modern air conditioning and water production systems. 

High safety standards, attention to the environment and protection of personnel are the elements that therefore characterize the naval units of the Italian Navy, which are increasingly oriented, in addition to the defense from the sea and the sea of ​​the country, to the needs of the community and well-being of the crew.
